- Pregnant Ladies:
a. Pregnant women should consult their healthcare provider before participating in any kayaking activity;
b. Kayaking is generally not recommended for pregnant women, especially during the later stages of pregnancy, due to the risk of injury and discomfort;
c. If a pregnant woman chooses to kayak, it should be in consultation with her healthcare provider and with their explicit approval; -
Small Kids:
a. Children below 4 years old are not permitted to kayak;
b. Children should wear properly fitted life jackets at all times, while on the kayak or near water;
c. Children should be accompanied by a responsible adult while kayaking; -
General Safety Guidelines:
a. All participants, regardless of age or health condition, should wear appropriate personal flotation devices (PFDs) at all times while on the water;
b. Participants should be adequately briefed on kayaking techniques, safety procedures, and emergency protocols before starting the activity, don't start the activity with questions;
c. Participants should inform the instructor or guide about any medical conditions, allergies, or physical limitations they may have; -
Health and Medical Considerations:
a. Participants with any pre-existing medical conditions (e.g., heart conditions, respiratory issues, mobility limitations) should consult their healthcare provider before kayaking;
b. Participants with recent surgeries or injuries should wait until they have fully recovered before engaging in kayaking activities;
c. It is advisable for participants to stay well-hydrated, wear anti-UV clothes and apply sunscreen to protect against sunburn during the activity; -
Weather and Water Conditions:
a. Kayaking may be postponed or rescheduled if weather or water conditions are unsafe, including strong winds, thunderstorms, or rough waters;
b. Participants should follow the guidance of the instructors or guides regarding any changes or cancellations due to adverse weather or water conditions;
